Overview

PostNet is a business-to-business printing, shipping, and marketing services franchise. They have been in the market for over 30 years and provide small businesses and consumers with a wide range of solutions including commercial printing, graphic design, marketing materials, custom packing, and domestic and international shipping through all major carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS). PostNet has developed a strong competitive advantage through a partnership-based production model that allows centers to offer a broad menu of printing services without major investments in in-house printing machinery, keeping startup costs lower than other printing franchises. In addition, they provide comprehensive training, real estate and build-out assistance, an initial marketing program that starts as soon as the lease is signed.

Management team / founders

PostNet was founded by Mr. Steve Greenbaum and Mr. Brian Spindel, who opened the first PostNet center in Las Vegas in 1993. Greenbaum had started out operating an independent pack-and-ship business at age 21, and together the founders evolved the concept into a full-service printing and shipping brand that grew to 660 locations in nine countries. In 2017, PostNet was acquired by MBE Worldwide, the operator of Mail Boxes Etc., which rebranded as Fortidia in 2024. Today, Mr. Paolo Fiorelli serves as CEO of PostNet and Chairman and CEO of MBE Worldwide; he joined MBE in 1993 after senior executive roles at BNL Investment Bank and Coopers & Lybrand. The leadership team also includes Bill McPherson, VP of Franchise Development, with over 29 years in franchise leadership including 8 years as an executive with FASTSIGNS; Clain Udy, VP of Learning & Development, with 25 years of experience including 5 years with AlphaGraphics; Peter Lopez, VP of Finance & Accounting, with 20 years in senior roles in the commercial print industry; and Erica Blair, VP of Marketing, with over 17 years of experience. With over 700 locations across North America, Central America, South America, and Africa, PostNet is dedicated to the continued success of franchisees. Franchise owners receive training and education, real estate and construction assistance, and ongoing marketing support from the corporate team in Lakewood, Colorado.

4. Our Take

PostNet provides a great opportunity for an investor looking to be an active owner-operator of a B2B-focused retail business with multiple revenue streams. The proven success of the business model, over 30 years of brand history, and a production approach that avoids heavy investment in printing equipment make the investment relatively safe. Additionally, the backing of Fortidia, one of the largest shipping, printing, and logistics retail networks in the world, recent recognition in the 2026 Franchise Times Top 400, and a network of over 700 locations provide potential investors with strong corporate resources and stability in an essential services industry that serves the large and growing small business market.
