Management team / founders
Floor Coverings International was founded in 1988 and grew into a multi-location franchise before being acquired by FirstService Brands (now FirstService Corporation) of Toronto in 2003 to accelerate national expansion. Mr. Tom Wood, President and CEO, took the reins in 2005 and has led the brand for over 20 years. Tom's career in franchising began when he joined FirstService Corporation as a franchisee in 1985, while still a college student. He went on to hold several leadership roles within the organization, including Vice President at FirstService Brands overseeing strategy and operations for multiple franchise brands, and President of The Franchise Development Center, before taking over Floor Coverings International. Today, the leadership team includes Chad Schloerke as Chief Operating Officer, Ben Pace as Chief Financial Officer, Stacey Vogler as Chief Marketing Officer, Ryan Aschauer as Chief Information Officer, and Albert Hermans as Chief Development Officer — most of whom have at one point owned a Floor Coverings International franchise themselves. With 250+ locations across the United States and Canada, the company is dedicated to the continued success of franchisees.
