Founded in 2012, Daycare, Overnight and Grooming (D.O.G.) was created to offer customers a new experience in the pet industry. It has improved upon similar concepts in the pet industry since opening and now has various locations in south Florida throughout all of Miami-Dade county. D.O.G. offers a variety of premium services to pets including daycare, boarding and grooming. By combining the pride and passion of pet love with the newest technology and resources of a large company, D.O.G. has been featured in a number of news outlets and ranked as one of the best pet daycare and boarding in Miami. D.O.G. offers unique daycare and boarding packages, which creates recurring revenues and differentiates itself from other pet daycares/ boarding kennels.
Management team / founders
D.O.G.’s goal is to make every pet feel right at home. From taking a unique approach to each dog’s grooming needs to having one of the few off-leash dog parks in Miami, D.O.G. is continuously working towards becoming every pet’s home away from home. D.O.G.’s corporate team is run by Juan Cochesa. Juan and his team founded D.O.G. 8 years ago and a short time after opening the doors to their first location were already receiving franchise requests due to the business’ visible success. D.O.G. currently has 5 locations open and many more in the pipeline!
Focus of owner for daily business operations
Semi-Absentee model where the investor would rely on the joint-venture corporate partner to focus on managing the below facets of the business: 1. Hiring and managing of staff/groomers; 2. POS review, inventory and ordering; 3. Managing the location’s manager/ lead associate; 4. Local marketing strategies, purchasing relationships and overall financials of the store
