Turkey has been consistently getting approvals over the last few years. Its consistency was attractive for foreign investors from non-treaty countries to apply for the nationality in the hopes of obtaining an E-2 Visa.
Despite that, the COVID-19 pandemic hit hard in the E-2 visa issuances. This year there have been only 79 approvals in FY2021. Pre-COVID-19 pandemic 45 was the monthly average. So we can see that Turkey is struggling to return to its former condition, but in the last months of FY2021, it’s showing a slow but steady increase. We will see where this leads in the future.
