Gelato-go is led by two Italian founders who have been lifelong friends since they grew up together in Italy. After emigrating and living in the U.S. they noticed that there was a strong market opportunity to bring authentic Italian gelato to the American market. Gelato-go opened its first corporate store on Ocean Drive in the heart of Miami Beach in 2013. Since then, it has expanded beyond its three corporate stores with a number of franchises opening in Florida, California, and various other states.
Gelato-Go offers a variety of products, including: gelato, coffee and other beverages, cakes, and additional food and beverage products depending on the location. Additionally, Gelato-Go has the ability to do a robust amount of business-to-business (B2B) sales as well as catering and special events
Gelato-Go’s secret to its success is in its artisanal base. The gelato base is made daily with fresh local ingredients as well as pistachio and hazelnut imported from Italy. Through creating their own gelato base, Gelato-Go is able to decrease costs, customize recipes, and, most importantly, create a rich, flavorful gelato for all to enjoy!
Gelato-Go offers support to franchisees through location selection, site development, vendor relationships, hiring and training, marketing, ongoing operational support, as well as other support services.
